With the success of multiple teams in multiple leagues and cup competitions, it can be dizzying trying to keep track of all of the success West Chester United is experiencing. This weekend is no different.

Tonight a team is in Manchester, N.H. to take on the defending NPSL champions and U.S. Open Cup amateur darlings El Farolito in their defense of a national title they won two years ago in Arizona.

The Hank Steinbrecher Cup took last year off and returns with a heavy heart following the death of the its namesake. West Chester United and El Farolito - along with the two teams in the other semifinal - will honor the memory and legacy of Steinbrecher, a former US Soccer Secretary General Hank Steinbrecher who is remembered as “a towering figure in the development and popularization of soccer in the United States.”

West Chester’s match kicks off at 5 p.m. and will be streamed live. Should they win they will play in the final on Sunday against the winner of the Seacoast United vs Houston Regals semifinal, which follows their game tonight.

🏆 APSL Conference Final and Region 1 Cups

Win or lose in New Hampshire - it would be considered an upset if they or any team beats El Farolito this weekend - West Chester United will have a plethora of competitions still to play for over the coming weeks starting with the APSL Delaware River Conference final Sunday night at Temple University.

The regular season champs in their first year in the league will face second place Alloy SC. WC Predators won each of the regular season meetings but will need to pull off the trifecta to make the league’s finals as the Delaware River Conference representative.

The match kicks off at 6 p.m. at Temple Sports Complex.

Next weekend there are two regional finals with the possibility for a third on the docket for West Chester. The U-23 team will aim to repeat their championship from a year ago (final on Sunday at 1 p.m.) while the Region 1 Amateur Cup final will be played on Saturday (6 p.m. vs NY Pancyprian Freedoms) and the Werner Fricker Cup on Sunday (2 p.m. vs Leros SC). West Chester last won the Region 1 Amateur Cup in 2018 and the Werner Fricker Cup in 2022.

West Chester booked a spot in the Amateur Cup final after a protest was upheld by USASA of an ineligible player being used in their 3-2 semifinal loss to Christos FC. It set up a rare opportunity for them to capture a cup treble at Ukrainian Sport Center over Father’s Day weekend.

As if all of that activity isn’t enough, West Chester has two games left with a real chance of winning the USLPA (they are even on points with Vereinigung Erzgebirge with 27 but have a game in hand), lead the Mid-Atlantic Conference in USL League Two and are three points back of first place (with a game in hand) in the NPSL Keystone West Conference. The WC Predators are struggling in a very tough Keystone East Conference but there’s still plenty of time to climb the standings and challenge for a postseason spot.
